KIIT School of Law is organising the II KIIT International Moot Court Competition 2026, featuring online Preliminary Rounds and offline Advanced Rounds in Bhubaneswar, with a total prize pool of ₹3,90,000.

Moot Proposition

The moot problem is based on international commercial arbitration and documentary credits, involving an ICC arbitration arising from a credit transaction governed by UCP 600.

The proposition raises questions concerning:

• Jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal
• Applicability of an arbitration agreement to multiple parties
• Incorporation and interpretation of UCP 600
• Obligations arising from documentary credits
• Banking law and sanctions
• International commercial law

Important Dates

The Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final Round will be conducted as part of the Offline Advanced Rounds.

Eligibility & Registration

The competition is open to students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year law degree programme, or a comparable graduate programme in law, subject to the eligibility requirements in the Rules.

Teams must represent a recognised and accredited institution where the participants are enrolled.

Registration Fees:

• National Teams: ₹6,000
• International Teams: USD 100

Registration must be completed by September 7, 2026 through the prescribed online registration form.
